What is the working principle of an air conditioner

Air conditioners lower indoor temperatures through a refrigeration cycle. Its working principle mainly includes the following steps:

1. Compression: The compressor in the air conditioner compresses the low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas into a high-temperature and high-pressure gas.

2. Condensation: The high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant gas passes through the condenser, dissipating heat to the outdoor air. At the same time, the refrigerant gas cools and condenses into a high-pressure liquid.

3. Expansion: When high-pressure liquid passes through a throttling device such as an expansion valve or capillary tube, the pressure is reduced and it becomes a low-temperature and low-pressure mixture of liquid and gas.

4. Evaporation: A low-temperature and low-pressure liquid and gas mixture enters the evaporator, absorbs heat from the indoor air in the evaporator, and evaporates into a low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant gas, thereby lowering the indoor temperature.
