Outdoor Heat Pump Cleaning Steps

The cleaning steps for Outdoor Heat Pump are generally as follows:

1. Preparation

Turn off the power to the outdoor heat pump to ensure that there is no accidental power-on during the cleaning process to ensure personal safety.

Prepare the necessary cleaning tools, such as a soft-bristle brush, a clean rag, a bucket, a mild detergent, a vacuum cleaner, etc.

2. External cleaning

Clean the housing: Wipe the housing of the outdoor unit with a clean rag to remove dust, dirt and debris on the surface. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent, dilute the detergent, and gently wipe it with a rag dipped in the solution, then wipe it clean with clean water to avoid detergent residue.

Clean the fan: Use a soft brush to gently clean the dust and debris on the fan blades. Be careful not to use too much force to avoid damaging the fan blades. You can also use a vacuum cleaner and bring the vacuum cleaner's nozzle close to the fan to remove dust.

Check the surrounding environment: clean up weeds, leaves and other debris around the outdoor unit to ensure that the surrounding environment is clean and tidy and maintain smooth air circulation.

3. Internal cleaning

Open the panel: According to the operating manual of the outdoor heat pump, carefully open the panel of the outdoor unit. Usually you need to use a tool such as a screwdriver to remove the fixing screws.

Clean the heat exchanger: The heat exchanger is an important part of the outdoor heat pump. It is easy to accumulate dust and dirt, which affects the heat exchange efficiency. Use a soft brush or a special heat exchanger cleaning brush to gently brush away the dust on the surface of the heat exchanger. If the dirt is serious, use an appropriate amount of special heat exchanger cleaner and spray the cleaner evenly on the surface of the heat exchanger. After waiting for a few minutes, rinse it with clean water. Be careful not to let water enter the electrical components during rinsing.

Clean the drainage system: Check whether the drainage pipes are blocked. If blocked, use tools such as thin wire to clear them to ensure smooth drainage and prevent water accumulation from affecting equipment operation.

4. Recovery and inspection

Install the panel: After cleaning, install the panel of the outdoor unit back to its original position correctly and tighten the fixing screws.

Connect the power: Turn on the power, start the outdoor heat pump, check whether the equipment is operating normally, observe whether the fan rotates smoothly, and whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration.
