Based on device type
Ordinary air-cooled air conditioner: If it is a relatively simple air-cooled factory air conditioner, it is generally appropriate to perform a comprehensive maintenance every 3-6 months. The structure of this air conditioner is relatively simple, and the main parts to be checked include air filters, fans, etc. If the air filter is too dusty, it will affect the air circulation and cooling effect, and it should be checked and cleaned every month or every two months. The fan needs to be checked for its rotation flexibility and abnormal sound, and a detailed inspection should be carried out every 3-4 months.
Water-cooled air conditioner: For water-cooled air conditioners, maintenance requirements are relatively higher because of the water system involved. The water system is prone to scale and microbial growth. Generally, the water quality needs to be tested and treated every 2-3 months to prevent scale accumulation from affecting the efficiency of the heat exchanger. It is recommended that the entire air conditioner system be fully maintained every 4-6 months, including checking the operation and sealing performance of components such as water pumps, water pipes, and valves.
According to the use environment
In a clean environment: If the factory environment is clean and the air contains less dust, such as some electronics factories and pharmaceutical factories, the maintenance frequency of the air conditioner can be appropriately reduced. Air-cooled air conditioners can be fully maintained every 6 months, and water-cooled air conditioners can be fully maintained every 6-8 months.
In harsh environments: In factory environments with high dust, corrosive gases or high humidity, such as cement plants and chemical plants, air-cooled air conditioners may need to undergo comprehensive maintenance every 2-3 months, focusing on cleaning dust and checking component corrosion. In addition to dealing with water quality issues more frequently, water-cooled air conditioners need to undergo comprehensive inspections every 3-4 months to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in harsh environments.
Consider runtime
Long-term continuous operation: If the factory air conditioner needs to run continuously for a long time throughout the year, such as the air conditioners in some large steel plants, regardless of the type, the maintenance frequency should be increased appropriately. Air-cooled air conditioners may need a comprehensive maintenance every 3 months, while water-cooled air conditioners need to be inspected and maintained every 2-3 months to prevent component wear and failure caused by long-term operation.
Short-term intermittent operation: If the air conditioner is only operated seasonally or intermittently, such as in some small processing plants with seasonal production, the maintenance cycle can be relatively extended, but it is also necessary to ensure that it is fully inspected before and after use at least once a year.
